Develop protocols for clinical sample analysis for
randomized trials and prospectively compare phage susceptibility methods for correlation with
clinical outcomes. Additionally, oversee students and technicians conducting
experiments in the wet lab, providing guidance and support. You will act as the primary point
of contact for addressing scientific questions related to bacteriophages. Therefore, strong
prior knowledge of bacteriophages is essential. Experience in bioinformatics and
statistics is appreciated. We seek a proactive individual ready to support and drive
innovative scientific initiatives to bring phage therapy into the clinics.
A academic translational research group for phage therapy which is located at the
Balgrist University Hospital, Zurich and is led by the researcher/clinician team of Dr. Shawna
McCallin, PhD and Dr. Lorenz Leitner, MD within the Department of Neuro-Urology headed
by Prof. Thomas M. Kessler.
