Postdoc Research Associate in phage therapy project for the treatment of Mtb infection &  HIV gene therapy

The University of Texas at Tyler is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate, Sr., who will be responsible for assigned activities in the research laboratory under the supervision of the Principal Investigator. The candidate should perform experiments in cell and molecular biology, molecular virology, and immunology relating to HIV and tuberculosis infection. They should also participate in the phage therapy project that aims to develop a cure for multi-drug resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection.

The researcher should also lead the NIH-funded research project focusing on developing immunotherapy treatments for the treatment of HIV and tuberculosis co-infection and testing the efficacy in a humanized mouse model. The duties will include characterizing the immune responses, safety, toxicity, and biodistribution in humanized mice.
