Work in an exciting collaboration between the University of Manchester and Saraco Industries Ltd., who are developing novel biodegradable hygienic wipes infused with phages for skin and surface disinfection. This project is funded through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) award, a UK Government scheme intended to promote sustained and mutually beneficial relationships between universities and industry.

The project is seeking an ambitious Research Associate to undertake this 30-month project. The role offers a unique opportunity to work at the interface of academic research and commercial innovation. The successful candidate will split their time between Saraco’s facilities in Farnworth (Bolton) and the University of Manchester, benefiting from supervision, expertise, and resources offered at both organisations.
