Antimicrobial Biotechnology Unit at the Leipzig site is looking for a Master’s student to work on a thesis project starting in 2025 / 2026. The research group isolates and characterizes bacteriophages from the environment.

The candidate is expected to contribute to the expansion of the phage collection and investigation of those phages that need further characterization

Investigation of phage effects on biofilm degradation

Genetic engineering of phages and prophages
