Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology IZI focuses on cell and gene therapy, pharmaceuticals and vaccines, and molecular and immune diagnostics. Antimicrobial Biotechnology Unit at the Leipzig site is looking for a Master’s student to work on a thesis project starting in 2025 / 2026. The research group isolates and characterizes bacteriophages from the environment.
The candidate is expected to contribute to the expansion of the phage collection and investigation of those phages that need further characterization
