RESEARCH TECHNICIAN I at Duke University

Work on selection procedures to obtain pathogen-specific antibody clones from M13 phage display libraries, and characterize antibody clones for specificity by performing immunoassays. Use molecular biology techniques to clone antibody genes for recombinant expression. Perform cell culture and purify antibodies produced by expression cell lines; set up instruments, materials, and apparatus, and operate laboratory equipment required for specific tests.

Experience:

Prior experience with molecular biology (PCR, gel electrophoresis), bacterial microbiology, M13 phage display library screening and panning, recombinant antibody production and purification, or performance of routine immunologic assays such as ELISAs would be preferred.
