Mosaic Biosciences seeks an experienced and motivated Senior Associate Scientist 2/ Principal Associate Scientist to join their growing Antibody Discovery & Optimization (ADO) team. The successful candidate will participate in the construction, validation, and screening of surface-displayed antibody libraries. The ideal candidate will have in-depth, hands-on expertise in all steps of display technology (yeast, phage, or mammalian), including DNA library construction, FACS, ELISA, and NGS.
Qualifications:
- BS in Biological/Chemical Engineering, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology or related discipline with 6-8 + years of industry experience
- Direct experience with phage or yeast display systems required
- Direct experience in protein engineering
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques, including RT-PCR, PCR, overlap extension PCR, cloning, primer design, mutagenesis methods, and in-silico DNA construct design
- Experience with flow cytometry
- Experience in cloning, expression, and purification of proteins/antibodies in bacterial, yeast, and mammalian cells
- Experience with NGS-based workflows, NGS sequencing, and data analysis is a plus
