AlivaMab Biologics(AMB) is seeking an outstanding individual to join Antibody Engineering Team to support molecular cloning for the generation of expression constructs. This position will report to the Senior Scientist, Antibody Engineering, and work closely with scientists in the Protein Sciences and Antibody Discovery teams.
AMB excel in the rapid and efficient delivery of molecularly diverse therapeutic antibody candidates, well-characterized for function, kinetics, and development, with expanding capabilities for engineering advanced modalities, including multi-specifics, single-domain human VH antibodies, and CARs.
Responsibilities include(But not limited to):
- Perform molecular cloning using molecular biology techniques
- Prepare plasmid DNAs and analyze DNA sequences
- Assist in phage display library construction and screening
- Work closely with the Antibody Discovery and Protein Sciences teams to address operational needs
- Accurately and consistently record experimental methods, materials, and results.
- Provide regular progress updates and present data at internal team meetings and department meetings.
- Collaborate seamlessly with our Antibody Discovery and Antibody Engineering teams to enable project advancement.
- Create and maintain reagents inventory both physically and electronically.
- Document the work in ELN.
- This is a full-time and lab-based position.
Qualifications:
- BS in Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related scientific field with 0-3 years of relevant industry experience, or MS degree.
- Experience with standard cloning, PCR techniques, and plasmid preparation and analysis are desired
- Experience with designing expression constructs is a plus
- Experience with DNA analyzing software is a plus
- Experience and/or knowledge in phage display work is a plus
- Ability to improve and streamline existing processes
- Operationally minded with the ability to summarize and track workflow status and performance
- A keen attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are required.

- Comfortable with a fast-paced work environment.
