Baylor University

Great Opportunity to work as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Phage Biology and Cell Sorting)

Departments of Biology and Chemistry & Biochemistry at Baylor University are currently open for multiple Postdoctoral Research Associates with a focus on Phage Biology and Microbial Cell Sorting.

For Phenotype-driven studies of the gut and oral microbiome, the research group has a program in the synthesis and application of chemical probes in complex biological systems, with an emphasis on measuring probe labeling and phenotype-driven cell selection using LC-MS-based proteomics, fluorescence microscopy, and cell sorting. Candidates with expertise in bacteriophage, microbial pathogens, and/or microbiome science are preferred.

Postdoctoral researchers with expertise in cell sorting will be expected to develop and execute independent research in phenotype-driven microbiome studies using cell sorting strategies which includes performing laboratory research using microbial cell sorting, with heavy emphasis on selective isolation of cells from microbiomes based on phenotype.
