Genentech (a member of the Roche group) is seeking a scientist 3 position to work in the diversity display lab at the Department of Biological Chemistry. The researcher is expected to work on the development of agonists and antagonists with therapeutic relevance using phage display, yeast display, and other display technologies.
- Expertise in protein chemistry, protein structure/function research, and peptide synthesis and purification.
- Protein (antibody, antibody-like fusion, Fab, ScFv, antigen) purification via chromatography (AKTA PURE, AVANT) and characterization (SDS-PAGE, SEC-MALS, analytical HPLC, MS) experience is highly desired.
- Experience with flow cytometry.
- Library construction, screening and maintenance of the libraries, protein expression and purification, peptide synthesis/bioproduction and purification, protein structure/function studies, and biophysical/biochemical assay development
